POPCORN BALLS 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. Karo syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3 qts. popped corn

In a saucepan, combine sugar, syrup, water, butter and salt. Bring to a boil and stir constantly until mixture forms a hard ball in a bowl of cold water. Stir in vanilla. Pour over popped corn and stir to coat. Butter hands lightly; shape popcorn into balls about 3 inches in diameter. Makes about 18 to 20.
