OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 pkg. (4 serving) Jello vanilla instant pudding
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. raisins or pecans (optional)

Mix flour with baking soda (set aside). Combine butter, the sugars and pudding mix in large bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in oats and raisins or pecans.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. About 5 dozen.
