MOSAIC SLICES (Refrigerator
Cookies)
 
1 c. butter
1 egg
2 c. candied red and green cherries
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. confectionery sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Cream butter. Gradually add confectionery sugar. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Stir in pecans and cherries. Chill dough for 1 hour. Divide dough into three rolls, 12 x 1 1/2 inch. Wrap in wax paper. Chill 3 hours. Slice 1/8 inch thick. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 10 minutes, until there is a light color on the bottom of the cookies. Storage: As crisp cookies.
