HARVEST TIME GOULASH 
1 1/2 c. long macaroni, broken into 3-inch pieces
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper

Cook macaroni until tender. Drain. Melt shortening in a heavy skillet. Add ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Cook together until browned. Stir in:

1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Add cooked macaroni. Cover. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally until done.

Serves 6.
