ARMENIAN RICE WITH VERMICELLI 
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. vermicelli, broken in 1 1/2 inch lengths
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
Pepper to taste

Heat oil in saucepan and add broken vermicelli. Cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Add rice and stir to blend. Add broth and pepper. Bring to simmer. Cover and cook 17 minutes. Stir gently to blend. Serves 4.
