PEAR CRISP 
Into 8 or 9-inch baking dish peel and slice 8-10 fresh pears. (I use pears right off my parents' tree.) They should be firm.

1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. melted butter

Crumble over pears. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until lightly brown. You can substitute apples in this recipe. Serves 6.
