BANANA MUFFINS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. mashed banana
1/2 c. nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to egg mixture and stir only until blended. Add banana and nuts. Put in muffin liners and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
