WILD RICE SOUP 
1/2 c. uncooked wild rice
2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, minced
1 qt. milk
2 cans cream of potato soup
1 lb. Velveeta, cut into sm. pieces
1/2 c. sliced almonds
2 c. ham, cut in sm. pieces

Rinse rice in cold water. Cook in 2 cups lightly salted water. Simmer 40-50 minutes or until done.

Saute onions in butter. Mix all ingredients and put into crockpot for 2 hours. Add almonds last half hour.
