BURMESE CHICKEN 
2 lbs. chicken, boned, skinned in 2 inch pieces
4 sm. onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. turmeric (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. water

Combine chicken, onions, garlic, soy sauce and seasonings in saucepan. Blend thoroughly. Stir in oil and water. Cover and cook over medium heat until chicken is tender, 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over rice.
