HOLIDAY FRUIT PUNCH 
1 c. (237 ml) sugar
4 c. (946 ml) cranberry juice
4 cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves
1 1/2 c. (355 ml) lemon juice
2 c. (473 ml) orange juice
2 c. (473 ml) pineapple juice
1 qt. (946 ml) ginger ale

Put sugar in a large saucepan with 2 cups (473 ml) water. Place over medium flame and stir until sugar dissolves. Add cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Reduce heat to very low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Strain liquid through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a large punch bowl and allow to cool. Add lemon juice, orange juice and pineapple juice. Refrigerate until serving time.

Add the ginger ale and float thin slices of fruit (orange, lemon and lime) on top of the punch just before the guests arrive.
