FUNNEL CAKES 
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tbsp. baking powder

Beat the egg and add to milk. Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together. Add the egg and milk. Beat until smooth. Pour batter into funnel holding finger over bottom. Allow to run out of funnel into deep fat, 375 degrees. Make swirls in fat from center out. Fry until golden. Drain on paper.
