SOFT PRETZELS 
1 tbsp. dry active yeast
1 1/3 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. coarse salt

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 2 baking sheets. Sprinkle yeast over warm water, stir with spatula. With wooden spoon stir in sugar, salt and 3 1/2 cups flour until soft and sticky dough forms. Turn dough onto well floured board.
