FRESH GRAPEFRUIT FROSTING 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. fresh grapefruit juice
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine first five ingredients in top of double boiler, beat at low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Place over boiling water. Beat constantly at high speed 7 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Remove from heat. Add grapefruit juice and vanilla. Beat 1 to 2 more minutes or until thick enough to spread.
