EASY DONUT HOLES
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
cinnamon sugar (to taste)

Mix together. Drop by teaspoon into hot oil. Fry until brown. Drain. Roll in sugar and cinnamon while still warm (it's easy to do this in a clean brown paper lunch bag). Alternately, donuts may be dusted with powdered sugar.

To make cinnamon sugar, combine 1/2 cup granulated white sugar with 1 tsp. cinnamon.

I asked my mom if I could go to the store to get some donuts, and she said: "No, go make some." (Little did I know that she was joking!!) Anyways, I made this recipe & they tasted fantastic!
I used a cookie dough scooper to drop them into the oil, the majority of the donut holes were fairly round!

This recipe tasted great and was fun to make with my kids. We have a deep fryer and it didn't leave a mess either. I expected dough rather than batter though. So if you're expecting actual donut holes you may be disappointed. But we just dripped the batter in and sprinkled powder sugar on it afterwards and ate it like fried dough. It was great!

These were amazing! If you are wondering how much they make (like I did) I estimate around 2-3 dozen.
