FIDDLE FADDLE 
1 lb. butter
4 c. brown sugar
1 c. white Karo
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 dry roasted can nuts or peanuts
8 to 12 qts. popcorn

Brown butter, brown sugar and Karo to a boil and boil 5 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons soda and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar. Stir well (will expand). Pour over popcorn and peanuts. Put in 200 degree oven for an hour. Stir occasionally. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Stir in tightly covered coffee cans.
