DRY YEAST ROLLS
1 pkg. Fleischmann's dry yeast
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
7/8 c. cold water
1 egg (leave egg to add last)
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. boiling water

Put yeast in 7/8 cup cold water to dissolve. Place shortening, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add the boiling water and stir until the shortening melts. Let cool a few minutes then stir in the yeast. Add flour a little at a time while stirring.

Beat the egg slightly and add it stirring the mixture well. Cover the bowl and place in refrigerator overnight. Make rolls out on floured board in time to allow 2 hours for them to rise. Cut with a small biscuit cutter or a glass. Bake in a 450 degree oven until brown.
