RAISIN RASCALS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
3/4 c. butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 c. raisins
1/4 c. raw sugar or granulated sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1. In a bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar and nutmeg.

2. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

3. Add egg. Mix into a thick dough. Add raisins.

4. Shape into 1 inch balls. Combine the raw sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

5. Roll dough balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

6. Flatten to 1/4 inch thickness with the bottom of a glass.

7. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, until lightly browned around the edges.

8. Transfer to a cooling rack before storing in tin.
