BROWN HAMBURGER STEW 
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. fat
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. tomato juice
3 carrots (cooked)
3 potatoes
1 onion
1 turnip

Fry hamburger; remove from skillet and set aside. In skillet add fat, flour, salt and pepper; brown like for gravy. Add water, carrots, potatoes, onion and turnip. Cook 10 minutes. Add tomato juice. Cook 10 minutes. Ready to serve.
