KAHLUA 
4 c. water
4 c. sugar
2 oz. instant coffee
3-4 vanilla beans
1 fifth bourbon

Combine water, sugar, and coffee in a saucepan and heat until sugar dissolves. Do not boil. Pour into a gallon jar made of glass, and add the vanilla beans and bourbon. Cover and shake every day for 2 weeks. Let sit another 2 weeks before serving. Makes 2 quarts.
