APPLESAUCE MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. plain flour
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
1 c. pecans, finely chopped

Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, spices and soda. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add applesauce and pecans. Blend thoroughly. Bake in miniature muffin tins at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Store batter in covered container in refrigerator. Batter keeps for weeks.
