CHEDDAR WILD RICE 
1/2 c. wild rice
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper (?)
1 c. Cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. butter
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms

Place rice, water and salt in heavy pan and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until rice has puffed up and most of the water is absorbed. Fluff rice. (Makes about 2 cups wild rice.) Add mushrooms, butter and cheese. Simmer until cheese is melted.
