APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 pt. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
Enough milk to make soft dough

Roll out and cut for 6. Peel apples and core. Put in center of dough and bring up around apple.

SYRUP TO COVER:

1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 pt. hot water

Pour over dumplings. Cover with lid and cook at 400 degrees for 1/2 hour. Take off lid and brown.
