BAKED CEREAL CUSTARD 
3/4 c. Grapenuts cereal
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
2 c. milk
1/4 c. raisins, optional
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt

Thoroughly mix cereal with butter. Beat sugar into beaten eggs. Add cereal mixture and remaining ingredients, blending well. Pour into 1 quart baking dish. Place in pan of hot water and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, stir thoroughly. Then bake about 20 minutes ore or until knife inserted 1 inch from center comes out clean. Serve warm or cool. Makes about 4 cups or 8 servings.
