CHICKEN PAPRIKAS 
1 lg. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
4 to 5 lb. chicken (disjointed)
1/2 to 3/4 pt. sour cream

DUMPLINGS:

3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1/2 c. water

Saute onion in shortening; add seasoning and disjointed chicken. Brown about 5 minutes. Add water, cover and let simmer slowly until meat is done. Remove chicken from pan. Add sour cream to gravy in pan and mix well until smooth. Pour over chicken and serve separately as desired.

Dumplings: Mix all ingredients together and beat with a spoon. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into boiling salted water. Cook 10 minutes; drain. Rinse in cold water. Drain. Add to Paprikas.
