MAW MAW'S TEA CAKES 
1 egg
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour

Cream egg, sugar and butter. Add milk and dry ingredients; then add vanilla. Roll and cut out tea cakes.

Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until light brown.
