GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
Dice 15 strips of bacon and fry with 1 c. chopped onion
Boil, 10 lg. potatoes - with jacket on

Mix together and cook until thick:

3 tsp. flour
10 tsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. vinegar
1 1/4 tsp. celery seed or celery, diced sm. with first 2 ingredients

After potatoes are done, cool, peel and dice while warm. Add - sauteed onion and bacon. After the vinegerate mixture is thickened, remove from heat and add to potatoes, mix well to marinate.
