COUNTRY SMOTHERED CHICKEN 
4 slices bacon
1 broiler-fryer chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 lg. garlic clove
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. crushed thyme leaves
3 c. cooked rice
1 med. onion

Cook bacon and drain. Cook chicken. Mix soup, mushrooms, onions, garlic, bay leaf and thyme together. Put chicken and bacon into fry pan and pour mixture on top and simmer for 45 minutes. Serve with rice.
