1 med. head cabbage, coarsely shredded 6 med. potatoes, peeled & cut into eighths 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Cook cabbage covered in small amount of boiling, salted water 5 to 7 minutes or until tender. Drain and set cabbage aside. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water to cover 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash potatoes. Add butter and next 3 ingredients. Mix well. Add cabbage, stirring well. Serve immediately. Yield 8 to 10 servings. |
