APPLE CRISP (A QUICKIE) 
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in a small bowl

Pare and thinly slice 4 large tart apples. Place 1/2 apples in buttered 2 quart casserole; sprinkle with 1/2 oatmeal mix; top with remaining apples and oatmeal mix, pressing down lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
