CHOCOLATE PIE 
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 stick butter
2 cups milk
1 - 9 inch pie crust

Meringue:

2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar

Separate egg whites and yolks. Reserve egg whites for meringue. In a medium mixing bowl, beat egg yolks. Add flour, vanilla, sugar, cocoa, softened butter and milk. Mix well. Pour mixture into a medium sauce pan, and cook over low heat. Stir constantly, until mixture is thick. Pour into pie crust.

Meringue: Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat reserved egg whites, in a mixing bowl, until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Spread evenly over top of chocolate.

Bake until meringue turns a golden brown.
