HAMBURGER PIE 
1 recipe for 2 crust pastry
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. shortening, if needed
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 c. frozen mixed vegetables, precooked
1 can (10 oz.) condensed tomato soup
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. oregano

Prepare pastry as directed. Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry. In skillet brown beef and saute onion, using shortening if needed. Stir in cooked vegetables, soup and seasonings. Pour meat mixture into pastry. Place top crust over filling; cut slits for escape of steam. Seal and flute edge. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until crust is browned.
