DROP DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening; add sufficient milk to make a drop batter. Drop by spoonfuls in boiling liquid. Close loosely and cook 10 minutes. Serve at once.
