SPICE ISLANDS BUTTERSCOTCH BARS | |
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 3/4 c. + 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 c. molasses 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 c. chopped nuts 1/2 of 12 oz. pkg. (1 c.) Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels Confectioners' sugar Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, ginger, baking soda and cloves; set aside. In large bowl, combine vegetable oil, molasses, brown sugar and egg; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in nuts and Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars. Makes 4 1/2 dozen. |
