WESTERN HASH 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. rice
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 tsp. basil leaves, crushed
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, sliced
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Brown meat, drain. Add tomatoes, rice, green pepper, onion, seasonings. Mix well. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Then top with cheese and cook until melted. Serves 6.
