HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup mushroom pieces
1 can canned milk (no preference)
1 egg
1 bag mild cheddar cheese or Velveeta slices (8)
8 slices bread (white or wheat)

Brown beef, onion and mushrooms, drain, add milk and egg, bring to a boil, set aside. Prepare an 8 x 8 pan or casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray, place 4 slices of bread in the dish or pan. Pour meat mixture over bread slices, sprinkle or lay cheese on top of mixture. Lay 4 more bread slices on top, pour remaining mixture on top of bread slices, spread or lay cheese on top.

Bake at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables of your choice.

Cut product into 4 to 8 servings, as desired.
