BUTTERMILK BROWNIES 
Brownies:

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil. Mix dry ingredients; pour cocoa mixture over dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour into large 11 inch x 17 inch jelly roll pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Icing:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped

Mix butter, cocoa, and buttermilk together and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Spread while hot on cool brownies.
