GRILLED ONIONS | |
Onions butter Bacon Salt Pepper Pa re large onion and remove a thin slice from the top and bottom. Make 4 cuts 3/4 way through (8 wedges). Carefully cut out centers of onion to 1 inch. Place a tablespoon of butter in each hollow, salt and pepper. Criss-cross 2 half strips of bacon over onion. Wrap each onion in foil and bake in covered grill over gray ash of charcoal or edge of grill. For very large Bermuda type onions, cook 1 hour. For small, or regular onions, cook approximately 20 minutes. |
