Butterscotch Brownies 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter in saucepan. Let cool. Beat egg and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

Add flour mixture to egg mixture. Stir in butter mixture. Sprinkle 1/2 c. pecans over top.

Bake in 8 X 8 pan in 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
