CZECHOSLOVAKIAN APRICOT BARS 
2 c. butter
2 c. granulated sugar
4 egg yolks
4 c. sifted flour
2 c. flaked coconut
8-10 oz. apricot marmalade or preserves
Powdered sugar for a garnish

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add one egg yolk at a time, beating well! Add gradually the sifted flour.

With floured hands, pat 1/2 the dough into a well greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan Spread the apricot jelly over the dough. You can use different kinds of preserves at each end if you prefer - such as raspberry. Sprinkle flaked coconut over this. Pat remaining dough over this mixture in the pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes and lightly browned. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Let cool. Cut into bars.
