APPLE CRUMB PIE | |
5 to 7 tart apples or 2 (#2) cans (5 c. sliced pie apples, drained) 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. butter Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pare apples, cut into eighths. Arrange in shell. Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle mix over apples. Mix other 1/2 cup sugar with flour, cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in hot oven for 40 minutes or until done. Cool, spoon whipped cream on top, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. |
