CALICO BEAN BAKE 
1 lb. ground round
1/2 lb. bacon (diced)
1 lg. onion, chopped (or 3 whole spring onions)
1 c. catsup
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 (#2) can of each of the following, drained: garbanzo beans, kidney beans, lima (baby) beans, butter beans
1 (1 lb. 10 oz.) can of pork and beans (do not drain)

Cook beef, bacon and onion in large pan until beef loses its color and onions are tender. Drain the fat. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to mix evenly. Cover.

Bake at 300 to 325 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with strips of crisp bacon (optional).
