SWEET AND SOUR PORK | |
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 lb. pork tenderloin, cut into 1" cubes 1 tbsp. oil Lg. green pepper, cut up 1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 1/2 c. Minute Rice Mix flour and salt in shallow dish. Coat pork cubes with flour mixture. Brown pork well in hot oil over medium heat in large skillet. Continue cooking 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Always cook pork thoroughly. Add green pepper, pineapple and water. Mix sugar, cornstarch and vinegar in small cup; stir into pineapple and water. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and comes to full boil. Stir in rice. Cover. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Buff with fork. Makes 4 servings. |
