LAYER SALAD 
1 head lettuce, cut up
3 stalks celery, chopped
3 green onions, finely cut up
10 oz. frozen peas
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
3 shredded carrots
1 pt. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
5 slices bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled

Place in layer in order given in a 13 x 9 inch glass pan. Spread on mayonnaise to completely cover salad ingredients. Sprinkle with sugar, then with Parmesan cheese. Top with crumbled bacon. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Must be prepared 24 hours before serving. Serves 16.
