UPSIDE - DOWN APPLE PECAN PIE 
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 pkg. (15 oz.) all ready pie crust
6 c. sliced, peeled apples
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In 9 inch pie pan, combine pecans, brown sugar and butter; spread over bottom of pan. Prepare crust according to package for 2 crust pie. Place bottom crust over mixture in pan.

Combine in large bowl, apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon into crust. Top with second crust. Place pan on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Cool pie 5 minutes. Place serving plate over pie. Invert. Cool at least 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
