CREAMY PRALINES 
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla (generous)
2 c. pecans, halved

Combine all ingredients and heat to soft ball stage (235 degrees). Use candy thermometer. Remove from heat and beat until almost sticky - drop on foil with spoon - make any size. Reheat slightly if it gets unmanageable.
