1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1 c. milk
4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
5 c. oatmeal
1 c. cocoa
1 c. coconut

Boil together butter, milk, sugar and vanilla for 5 minutes in a heavy saucepan. Remove from heat and add oatmeal, then cook for 1 minute. Add cocoa and coconut. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool.
