BANANA-PINEAPPLE JAM 
5 or 6 ripe bananas
1 #2 can crushed pineapple
7 1/2 c. sugar
1 bottle liquid pectin

Crush bananas to a fine pulp and add pineapple. Mix sugar and fruit in large kettle and bring to rolling boil. Stir constantly; boil hard 1 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in pectin. Pour into hot jars and seal with wax immediately.

My grandmother used to make this jam all the time. Best jam ever! Her children and grand children always fought over the jam. The only difference was she would add finely chopped maraschino cherries for a bit of colour. Make it myself now and when my husband's family came over for Christmas breakfast one year they were hesitant to try it but loved it once they did.
