TEXAS HASH 
1 lb. ground beef or turkey
3 lg. onions, sliced
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
1 can (1 lb.) tomatoes
1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
2 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet, cook and stir meat until light brown, drain off fat. Add onions and green peppers; cook and stir until onion is tender. Cook rice. Stir in tomatoes, cooked rice, chili powder and pepper, heat through.

Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover, bake 1 hour. 4 to 6 servings.
