JANET BRYAN'S CHILI 
1 lb. dry kidney beans (1 pkg.)
2 lb. lean hamburger meat
2 lb. Italian sausage
2 lg. onions, chopped
Several garlic sections, chopped
2 lg. cans (2 lb.) stewed (or pureed etc.) tomatoes
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground red pepper or pepper juice (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste

Soak kidney beans overnight and simmer until almost done. Brown sausage and hamburger meat in another layer put in onions and garlic; pour off excess fat. Combine all ingredients except pepper and taste for red pepper before adding all. Simmer all together for an hour until flavors blend. Serve with rice, tacos (optional), grated Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers (chopped), black olives, sour cream, etc.
