CRANBERRY, APPLE, PEAR SAUCE | |
2 lb. fresh cranberries 3 apples, pared, cored and diced 2 c. golden raisins 2 c. sugar 1 c. fresh orange juice (about 3) 2 tbsp. grated orange peel 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 c. Cointreau or orange flavored liqueur Heat all ingredients except liqueur in large saucepan to boiling; reduce heat, simmer uncovered, stirring frequently until mixture thickens, about 45 minutes. Stir in liqueur. Refrigerate covered 4 hours or overnight. |
